Camp Imagination Station is a specialized summer camp program for children who will be entering kindergarten through second grade in the fall. Children must be five by September 1 of this year to be eligible.

The camp will run from June 1 through July 30. Daily hours will be 7 a.m. until 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Children may be enrolled for the entire session, or on a weekly basis. Camp is $150/week or $50/day.

Camp Imagination Station offers low child-teacher ratios and a host of fun and educational activities, including:

  • Weekly field trips

  • Outdoor and water games

  • An Italian-style Atelier studio with a large variety of materials and mediums to use in child- directed art

  • Access to multi-media labs and unique learning centers such as computers, a listening center, a library and writing areas

  • A dramatic play village

  • An inventor’s warehouse with materials and machines that can be taken apart and put back together

The 26,000-square-foot D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. Early Education Center is a nurturing educational center for children aged six weeks to 8 years. The Hudgens Center has been recognized by the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education for modeling best practices in early education.

The Center includes fourteen classrooms, four piazzas and six observation rooms in addition to administrative offices and teacher work areas. The center has the latest in security features including swipe-card access, in-class cameras and observation rooms with full audio capabilities.
