4. Have written an essay on how this scholarship will benefit educational pursuits, approximately 500 words, typed and double-spaced.

5. Have received a written recommendation for the scholarship from a high school guidance counselor or college faculty member, an advisor, a teacher, or a recognized professional person such as his/her employer.

1. Have completed at least one (1) semester at Gwinnett Tech.

2. Be enrolled in a degree program

4. Have received a written recommendation for the scholarship from a member of the college faculty or an employer.

5. Submit an essay on: How will your degree of study contribute to your short and long range goals? What would you like to achieve with your acquired formal education?

   Optional Essay Question: Describe you history of involvement with a community service event or with a non-profit organization and how you have contributed, benefitted and learned from this involvement.

It is the Donor's intent that a scholarship in the amount of five hundred dollars and no cents ($500.00) be awarded annually for use during the academic year, Summer Semester through Spring Semester. Before funds will be disbursed, the Foundation Office must receive a note of thanks for the recipient to the donor(s) to be mailed by the Foundation Office.

2. Have been accepted into the GTC diploma or degree paramedic program.

3. Have completed the first semester of the paramedic program courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (paramedic GPA).

4. Demonstrate in a letter how this scholarship will benefit the applicant and his/her future educational plans and career and what he/she has accomplished since becoming an EMT.

1. Must be or have been eligible for Veterans or Survivors/Dependents Educational benefits

   Priority One – Veterans who are still eligible for VA Educational benefits – Copy of DD214 required/must be honorably discharged

   Priority Two – Veterans whose eligibility for Veterans Educational Benefits have expired – Copy of DD214 required/must be honorably discharged

   Priority Three – Survivors and dependents who are currently eligible for VA Educational Benefits

2. Need based applicants will be given priority
3. Must be enrolled as a full-time student taking a minimum 12 credit hours
4. Must attend GTC for one semester prior to submitting scholarship requests
   • Scholarship assistance for tuition/books and program supplies will be considered during first semester
5. Must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
6. Must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or must obtain a 2.5 GPA in their first semester of attendance. All recipients must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA
7. Must submit a copy of the previous year's tax return
8. Must submit a written essay requesting scholarship funds

9. Scholarships are awarded each semester and are set to a fiscal calendar (July-June)
10. Scholarship awards will vary based on need and a maximum lifetime limit as well as availability of funding
11. Program supplies must be purchased and requests for reimbursements submitted to the Gwinnett Tech Foundation office
    • Receipts of purchases must be submitted at the time of the reimbursement request

3. Have maintained a minimum grade point average of 2.5 GPA,

4. Have earned a total of 28 credit hours in the Veterinary Technology Program, and

5. Have received a written recommendation for the scholarship from a high school guidance counselor or college faculty member, an advisor, a teacher, or a recognized professional person such as his/her employer.

2. Have a GPA in the top 5% of the Nursing class

3. Be in good standing at the college

4. Submit two letters of recommendation from Gwinnett Technical College faculty members.

5. Submit a two page essay on why the applicant wants to pursue a career in nursing

It is the Donor's intent that a scholarship in the amount of two thousand and five hundred dollars and no cents ($2,500.00) be awarded annually for use during the academic year, Summer Semester through Spring Semester. The $2,500 may be used for tuition, books, or program supplies. 4. Provide information for evaluation for work completed at Gwinnett Technical College (2.5 GPA), high school transcript (2.5 GPA or its equivalent in the high school [technical or college prep program] or in the college last attended), GED scores, and entrance test scores.

5. Submit an essay of approximately 300 words addressing:

1. Reason(s) for applying for the scholarship.
2. Short-range and long-range goal(s).

1. Be a graduate of a Gwinnett County public high school or the Buford City Public High School and be enrolled in Gwinnett Technical College within one year after high school graduation.

2. Be ineligible for HOPE Scholarships. Student must have:

3. technical diploma: less than a 3.2 GPA

4. college prep diploma: less than a 3.0 GPA

5. combined diploma: less than 3.2 GPA in technical studies and less than 3.0 GPA in college prep studies,

6. Exemplify leadership potential,

7. Have the ability to excel in today's technical education classroom environment,

8. Demonstrate potential for success in his/her chosen profession,

9. Provide written references from two (2) teachers and from his/her high school guidance counselor,

10. Provide high school transcript,

11. Provide an essay of approximately 300 words, typed and double-spaced, addressing reason(s) for applying for the scholarship and short-range and long-range career goal(s),

12. Demonstrate success in previous work experiences, and

13. Be an Associate Degree candidate. The Hudgens Scholarship will fund developmental courses.

6. Attend the Lilburn Woman’s Club Awards Recognition.
